Baby on the Way, What to Pack in your Hospital Bag.

Baby on the Way, What to Pack in your Hospital Bag.

May 24 2019

Only a few weeks to go till you’re on your way to the hospital, your baby arrives, and your hospital bag is packed ready to go. Having your hospital bag packed will make you feel a lot better, knowing you’re prepared and one less thing to worry about when the time comes.

“You won’t want to wait till you start feeling contraction to get packing. In all the excitement, you’re bound to forget the one thing that you really wanted to bring,” says Lisa Wilson, a physician with Novant Health Providence OB/GYN. “The most important tip: pack light, bringing along just what you think you’ll need or like.”

Follow this checklist of items you will want to have in your hospital bag.

Outfits for the baby

You might want to overpack with super cute outfits. Basic sleepsuits and warm layers will do until you get home.

•    Onesies

•    2 sleepsuits

•    Going home outfit

•    Maxi pads

•    Deodorant

•    Hair ties

•    Lotion

•    Breast pads

•    Toothbrush and toothpaste

•    Shampoo

Have these items packed in your bag and in the car or by your front door, so whenever baby decides to show up, you’ll be ready!
