Ultrasound
At Novant Health Providence Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN), our board-certified physicians provide in-office ultrasound services, with special insight into the subtleties of female anatomy and fetal development.
An ultrasound is a non-invasive, diagnostic tool that utilizes high frequency sound waves to create images used to identify or rule out potential health concerns.
Our skilled radiologic technologist and sonographer provides state-of-the-art diagnostic tests in a warm, caring environment.
OB ultrasound
An obstetric ultrasound serves as a way to monitor the progress of your pregnancy. Our healthcare professionals can confirm the viability of the fetus by visualizing the baby’s heartbeat, identify multiple pregnancies and determine an accurate due date. As your pregnancy progresses, ultrasounds are utilized to screen for fetal anomalies and monitor your baby’s growth and well-being.
GYN ultrasound
A gynecologic ultrasound used to examine the anatomy of the cervix, uterus, ovaries and fallopian tubes, and helps identify various problems and abnormalities. With a GYN ultrasound, we are able to screen for abnormal bleeding, ovarian or uterine cancer, diagnose uterine fibroids, and detect cysts and masses.
